Great Morning in Kyoto
We are taking a lunch break right now, but have had a great morning in Kyoto.
This is a sign in the store next to our hotel. I guess smoking makes you strong.
Our first stop was the Kiyomizu Temple.
We made some new friends.
Some of our group took advantage of touching the rock that brings love to your life.
We then went to the Kingakuji or the Silver Temple.
Now we are off to Kinkakuji or the Golden Temple.

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Oregon. Cool and expected a few showers today. We should reach a high of 64!! Bet you wish you were here. NOT. Kyoto looks very lush with green trees and grass. The temples look interesting. Drink lots of water. Send some pics Manders.

As I recall, there are two "love" rocks and the idea is to close your eyes and see if you can walk from one to other. If you manage it supposedly you will find love. I didn't try it when I was there a few years ago. Did you guys drink from the lucky fountain too? It's the one where you use a long handled cup to catch some water falling from above.
